The music of Hearts On Fire is boundless.

There are many musical members of Hearts On Fire and expectations are that as time continues, there will be more.  This is a different way of forming a band.  Worldly thinking likes to have things set and defined.  The reality of life is that everything is always changing.  Every day is different and changing and so is every person and our surroundings.

Hearts on Fire has recorded a new album entitled, “Called to Freedom Through Love”.  There are 12 songs on the album and each one brings a unique and desired freedom for all mankind.  The final mastering process was beautifully done by Alan Bean of Baked Bean Recording Studios.

Some very interesting technology is happening in the musical instrument field that will dramatically change and broaden the scope of the electric guitar.  Hearts On Fire is pursuing these recent developments and hopefully within a year’s time, will be incorporating this new technology into their live performances and future recordings.  The sound will be huge!

Hearts On Fire will post various recordings from time to time.  We have collected quite a few “live in the studio” recordings, some with friends as well.

The activities of Hearts On Fire are centered in upstate NY, between Geneva and Rochester.
Al Liberio-guitar and vocals; Jeff Melito-drums & harmonica; Brady Leo; bass guitar.  Also our long distance members from the state of Maine are  Jim Hoy-drums & vocals;  Mark Gwinn- vocals & percussion.

Lyrics by Al Liberio

verse 1
It was set down long ago, by some thoughtful men,
the pursuit of happiness.
Where liberty, and poverty,
would always be opposites.
To build a life, like none before,
to earn your own success.
Where freedom reigns, across the plains,
into the wilderness.

verse 2
Well, the land was wide, the land was free,
and the land was full of life.
And the tyranny, of ancient times,
had passed on through the night.
It was a new day, a new world,
a life with a Holy King.
Where freedom reigns, across the plains.
You can hear the mountains sing.

chorus
This is the Land of Freedom!
This is the land of hope!
This is the land where dreams come true,
where families bloom,
where the future has no holds,
where the days are full of hope,
where the days are full of hope.

verse 3
The years went by, new kings took hold,
and kingdoms they did rise.
They taxed all lives, and they took the homes.
They said the law was on their side.
Said the law would be their guide.

What’s happened to this Land of Freedom,
where a man can build his dream?
What’s happened to this land of liberty;
now we’re taxed on all we see
No more can a man use what he earns,
to do what he sees best.
The kings grab more, and they call it law,
through the plains and wilderness.
And they say it’s for the best.

verse 4
What were our forefathers fighting for,
when they settled in this land.
They stood against those taxes then,
it’s time to take that stand.
To live our lives, like those before,
to fight for liberty.
To break the ways, of taxing chains,
from sea to shining sea!

chorus
This is The Land of Freedom!
This is the land of hope!
This is the land where dreams come true,
where families bloom,
where the future has no holds,
where the days are full of hope,
where the days are full of hope.

This is The Land of Freedom!
This is the land of hope!
This is the land our fathers fought for!
This is the land that we call our home!

This is The Land of Freedom!
This is the land of hope!
This is the land our fathers fought for!
This is the land that we call our home!
